Hello Nicol,
my name is Petr Krenzelok, I am from czech Amiga magazine called Amiga
Review.
Next week (5.9 - 6.9) we will be present at Video-computer workshop
(http://www.fi.muni.cz/~wax/vcws.html) in Brno, so I would like to have
some questions anwered if possible:
1) will we see any pess release till date expressed above?
if not,
1) I have heard we wil not see new OS till the end of 98 and it is going
to be version 3.5 or what, so will it be completly reworked? What about
supportig present Amigas?
2) Will ICOA play any role in further development of OS?
3) What about hardware? Will GW2K develop or produce any Amigas, or is
it going to be only the question of licenses?
4) Of-the-shelf harware or any kind of custom chipset and Dr. Ed Hepler
onboard e.g.?
5) Any names, names of former Amiga legends?
So, enough ....
Thanks a lot,
P.S.: welcome to Amiga family :-)

Hello Petr,
How are you?
Thank you for your questions, which I will answer now:
1. We will try to support all the other older Amigas by way of
developing
compatible products.
2. In Dakota Dunes there was a meeting among some ICOA members ( Dean
Brown,
Andy Finkel, Jesse McClusky, Fleecy Moss, Alain Penders and Jeff
Schindler
(Managing Director of the development dept.), Petro Tyschtschenko
(Managing
Direktor of Amiga International, sales and marketing worldwide),Jason
Compton
(Reporter), Darreck Lisle (User Group Siouxland) and Joe Torre (User
Group
Atlanta).
They discussed future and passed of Amiga
3. This is not sure yet. We have not decided yet if to produce ourselfs
or
Gateway or if we license all our new developments. We will decide all
this
later on. But licenses will always play a big part.
4. Unfortunately this we don't know yet, because in USA they are about
to
take on skilled staff for our (Gateway and Amiga) new Research &
Development
department.
I hope I could give you the respected answers
Have a nice day
by
Nicole Gottfried
