Dovolil bych si hodit kapku Novou informaci (tak se rika SPAMu ;) )
ohledne WHAT IS NEW IN HW.
Ja osobne budu stastnym majitelem v dohledne dobe (Jakmile zaplatim)
nize uvedeneho (MKII) a pokud sezenu PC-HD-laufwerk tak muzete
ocekavat "nezaujatou" kratkou recenzi z uzivani do 48 hodin ;).
Mimochodem uz vite jestli pojedete do Kolina ???
Kdo neni babovka pojede jako ja do Kolina na kole ;) !!!!!!

Pro babovky bych mel upozorneni ze pokud se nesezene radove 30 babovek,
(kuliva zorganizovani autobusu) tak jedina sance je s cestovkou ,
autobusem za 1400.- pro 1 osobu tam a zpet. (deti do 14let zdarma ;))
Tak setrte nebo posilujte svaly !!!!!
P.S. Jedna se o dlouhy text , jenz mi byl osobne poslan autorem,
a bude/ci je k dispozici na oficielni WWW.
P.P.S. Mimochodem je to celkem pozoruhodny typek, O prazdninach premyslel
o realtimovem dekoderu MP3jek a dneska ??? hotovo ...

Technical description of the Catweasel Floppy controller
Uses standard PC-diskdrives for every format:
3,5" disk formats: (standard 1,44MB drive)
* PC DD and HD disks
* Amiga DD and HD disks
* Atari 10 and 11 sector disks
* Mac HD-disks
*! Mac DD disks planned for the next software update - we're working on it!
* Commodore 1581 disks
* XTRA high density with 2380 KBytes per disk on a standard 1,44M drive!
* Game console Backup station 1600 KB disks
5,25" drive formats (standard 1,2MB drive):
* PC 1200 KB, 720, 360 and 180 KB
*! Commodore 1541 disks (yes, they really work in standard PC-drives!)
* Amiga 880 KByte disks

Enhanced Error correction algorithm introduced on 7-apr-97:
Checks for impossible bitcombinations on the disk to correct
checksum errors. Even 15-year old C-64 disks are readable
again! software compatible with programs like DMS, ReOrg,
Shapeshifter V3.7, Frodo, CrossDos, CrossMac, file-based
programs, any program using the mfm.device. Diavolo Backup
using 2,3MB disks now available!
New Amiga versions:
Catweasel MK2 works on both, the A1200 and the A4000. When
installed in an A1200 it has even got the same local
expansion slot as the Buddha controller. Now the I/O module
is available for A1200 owners! Catweasel MK2 is compatible
with the IDE-fix 97 4-drive adaptor (A1200 only).
When connected to the A4000, the Catweasel MK2 is not
compatible with the IDE-fix 97 4-drive adaptor, and the
local expansion slot is not active. If you need one of
these features, consider buying the Buddha or the Z-II
version of the Catweasel.
The Catweasel MK2 replaces the special A1200 and A4000
versions. It's more flexible, and it's even cheaper! All
the cables you need for installing are included. The
Catweasel MK2 is available in large numbers NOW!

A1200 version:

The A4000 version is also available as "adaptor-only", and
can be used on the Buddha controller! With two adaptors,
you can connect up to 8 (eight!) IDE-devices to one
controller! The only limit is the length of the cables:
Don't exceed a maximum of 2 meters on all ports together on
Buddha or a maximum of 1,5 meters per port on Catweasel
Z-II).

There's more stuff to come, currently I'm working on
interface circuits for the A600, because I believe the A600
is a nice machine. Fast accelerator boards are available,
IDE-fix 97 works fine, but further expansion modules are
just missing - I want to change that!
